So now I knew I wasn't getting anywhere so I tried switching back to scph1001, but the same thing happened! I couldn't press esc to get out of the black screen (Note, this is the same configurations and everything as before I switched to scph7501). So every time I'd try afterwards I would have to shutdown my pc manually. It was like my PC wasn't picking up my keystrokes or something. EXCEPT, now I couldn't exit out of the rom. So then, I couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I tried using scph7501 (I knew that FF7 was a NA game, but I wanted to try it anyways), so when I would load the iso, the same thing happened, a black screen would appear. No buttons or anything would work, so I would just press Esc and it would go back to the menu.Īlso, I looked around the forum's for good FF7 configuration for Pete's OGL2 and I used those. large monitors most people raise the dpi cause the font is waaay too small at higher resolutions.Ok, so for the past 2 days I've been trying to get my FF7 iso to work on ePSXe 1.60, but what would happen is once I would load the iso, all that showed was a black screen. you MIGHT need to right click the exe and under compatibility check the box that says don't use dpi scaling. ***EDIT*** just saw you had trouble with other resolutions, am wondering if it is the dpi scaling thing. 800圆00 is not a widescreen resolution so I dunno why that would even work.lol. that should keep your monitor from changing resolutions. as for monitor, is their a reason you need 800圆00? a better solution would be to keep it at your monitors max (1920x1080 for me) and then set the window size (I use 1650x1080 for 4x3, a lesser resolution like 1366x768 would of course need a smaller window size for 4x3) and check use window in full screen. It's not number of cores, it is CPU overclock x1 is normal speed, x2 twice normal, etc.x2 and above will break some games or make them unplayable, but for some games and I guess fans of the technique, x2 and up speeds things up for them as they wanted. They haven't had a new release since the bug was found. If it's a known issue, perhaps it should be a default setting? Or at least mentioned in a list of common problems and solutions somewhere? Next time I'll make sure to mention where I read when asking. I also looked for a FAQ, but didn't see one listed in the help section here. Granted, I didn't read EVERY thread, but from what I did read there seemed to be a number of differences. I did use the search feature, and other complaints I read involved people who got the game working half the time. Is there a way to center the window on launch? Or any other suggestions for that problem? Otherwise I'll be forced to change my primary monitor every time. I tried setting the windowed resolution to that of my computer, and it worked, but ended up off screen at the top so I can't see everything. It changed the resolution of all my monitors to 800圆00 and the video was offset once it was back in full screen so that doesn't work at all. I found a partial answer here which suggested I use alt-enter to enter window mode and then drag to the other monitor and then press alt-enter again to go back into full screen mode, but this didn't work completely. The only remaining problem I have now is how to properly move to a second monitor full screen. It would make more sense to be able to tell it what my current resolution is, and for it to figure out what resolution it will need to be to use the widescreen fix without cutting off. So, I guess no upscaling? That kinda makes me feel like the resolution drop down is placed wrong. Initially I had another problem where the screen wasn't centered, but eventually I figured out that the full screen resolution has to be 800圆00 and nothing else will work. So, what, someone forgot to set a default value for the number of cores in use?
